Omiš bypass: DCP permanent anchors successfully installed

Diorit, in cooperation with its partners, successfully delivered DCP (Double Corrosion Protection) permanent anchors for the needs of the bypass construction project in Omiš in Croatia…

According to the plan, the project will be realized in 2022, and it is a very demanding undertaking to stabilize slopes. In accordance with the requirements of the respective project, DCP permanent anchors (anchors/anchors for double protection against corrosion) in SAS 670/800 Ø43 quality were used.

“These permanent anchors are mainly used in high-rise construction for heavy reinforcement, stabilization of slopes, deep excavations and retaining walls, and as such have a lifespan of more than 100 years. Compared to standard steels, these permanent anchors have far greater strength and durability. Permanent DCP rod anchors must comply with the EN 1537 standard. We are proud of the fact that our customers like Strabag have found in us a strong supplier that can meet all their requirements”, stated the Diorit company.

By the way, the construction of the bypass road near Omiš is being invested by Hrvatske ceste d.o.o. and the value of the contract is EUR 23.50 million. The start of the works began in September 2019, and the deadline for the works is 3 years. The works include the construction of access roads to the tunnel with a total length of 544 meters, the construction of the Komorjak Sjever tunnel with a length of 600 meters, as well as the construction of a bridge over the Cetina River with a length of 220 meters.

The project will ultimately bring traffic relief in the city center of Omiš and reduce congestion during the summer and tourist season.
