SAS Micropiles

Micropiles are elements for deep foundations with a small diameter of up to 300 mm, which are used to transfer loads from the structure to the lower, load-bearing layers of the soil.

Micropiles can transfer tension, compression and transfer loads. Typical applications are foundations or strengthening of existing foundations of buildings (eg buildings, bridges, retaining walls, masts, etc.) or raising structures in groundwater.

HOLLOW BAR MICROPILES

Hollow bar microplates consist of three main components: the plate head, the steel tendon – which includes the coupling and the disposable drill bit – and the injection body.

A steel tendon is a round steel bar with rough, cold-rolled round or trapezoidal threads and can therefore be cut or joined at any desired point.

Characteristics:

• Well adapted to transport and assembly conditions, delivered in parts with couplings.
• A wide selection of drill bits allows for use in different types of soil.
• It is easily adapted to the required length on the construction site, e.g. with different geological conditions using smaller parts with couplings.
• Excellent connection between the SHS bar and the cement mortar thanks to the threaded ribs.
• It can be precisely matched to the required loads thanks to the wide range of radii.
• High speed of construction, since drilling, installation and grouting are done in just one operation.

Temporary microplates:

• Temporary micropiles (service life up to 2 years)
• Semi-permanent micropiles
• Semi-permanent micropiles, untreated, the rate of corrosion depends on the composition of the soil (service life up to 50 years).
• Semi-permanent anchor micropiles, hot-dip galvanized, corrosion rate depends on soil composition (service life up to 50 years).
